Description
Ruinous overgrown perennial with short stalons. Stem leafy to the top, round, smooth. Leaves pointed, flabby, light green, densely overgrown at the edge with light, hairy hairs, tufts of hair also in the foliage. Inflorescence overgrown, obovate. Flowers solitary or 2 together on long stalks, these are usually erect or overhanging. Perigon leaves ovate, pointed, pale brown or whitish (subspecies luzuloides) or copper-red (subspecies rubella), both long and fruit, at the base with two leathery leaflets. The fruit is an ovoid head, slightly pointed towards the top.
