Description

The flowers are bluish purple. The pod is slightly spirally wrapped, without spines. It grows cultivated and often wild throughout Slovenia. It is suitable for green feeding as well as for ensiling, dehydration or drying for hay. It also easily survives periods of water scarcity. Water standing on the surface and high groundwater severely deplete the crop.
