Description
Leaves flat, at least lower leaf oviduct and leaf surfaces are hairy. Cape husks distinctly vascular, 12 to 16 mm long. Fringes of roof chaff 1 to 2 cm long. It grows on dry slopes, in light forests and among bushes from the lowlands to the subalpine belt throughout Slovenia, on neutral to limestone sites. It is tolerant to fertilization, but then other types of grasses become more established. It blooms from May to July.
