Description
The inflated glass is almost bare. Eurasian species, a very common species in moist meadows from the lowlands to the subalpine belt. The supporting leaves of its flowers are serrated, but the teeth are not elongated into a fringe. The corolla tube of the bright yellow flower is straight. The blue or whitish teeth on the upper coronal lip are rounded, 0.2 to 0.7 mm long.
It grows on relatively nutritious and humus-rich soils. It thrives best in bright places on fresh soil on acidic substrates. With the exception of the extreme north-western part and closed forest areas, it is widespread and common throughout Slovenia. Species of this genus are characterized by high variability, which we call pseudoseasonal polymorphism. This is manifested mainly in different overgrowth (flowering plants in spring are not overgrown, and in autumn flowering lushly branched), as well as during flowering and different altitudes of growth.
