Species Perrenial
Living space Meadow
Size up to 80 cm

Description

It grows on rich, acidic meadow soils. It has small red inflorescences, and narrow upward-facing leaves. It can be used in salads, even soups. As raw, it has a sour taste, hence its name, otherwise it should not be consumed so much at once, as the stem and leaves contain oxalic acid, which is especially dangerous for those with kidney disease. In older medicine, it was used to cleanse the blood.
