Description
It is found in standing and slow flowing waters. Some species are very common. Thick and water-repellent hairs on the underside of the legs prevent it from sinking. With short and fast swings of the middle legs, it moves very quickly along the water surface. With very well-developed vibration sensors, it detects even the slightest movement of the water surface. He detects his prey accurately and grabs it with his front legs bent.
