Features

The beetles are 4 to 6 mm in size. A golden green glistening beetle with a very small head tucked under the forechest.

Description

Quite common in meadows and forest edges. The larva lives in a similar house of excrement as the larva of the ant bag beetle. It stays on the ground and feeds on plants.
