Features

The wingspan is 4 to 5 mm. Both sexes are red and black, the legs are black.

Description

The larvae have short and broad and at the end distinctly pointed gill leaflets. Egg laying takes place in pairs. It appears in stagnant and slow-flowing waters rich in vegetation.
