Homemade buckwheat and corn grits, porridge (millet, barley and buckwheat), polenta, grinders, stewed sauerkraut or sauerkraut are foods left to us by our ancestors and can be classified as our gastronomic heritage. Due to the proximity of the sea, Slovenians are known as great lovers of the Mediterranean and it is right to approach the guest with an offer of Mediterranean dishes such as fish, squid, octopus.
