Features
Often perch on the leaves or stems of larger plants (e.g., on sorrel and blackberries), where they suck sap or are observed on ripe fruits, e.g. on blackberries or strawberries. They secrete a very smelly liquid, which can remain present for a long time in the places where the animal stayed, even on the fruit.

Description
Adults: body gray- or reddish-brown. The tentacles are quite long, the first and last ankles are brown, the central ankles often orange. The front wings cover the rear, which is widened in the lower part, so it protrudes from under the wings with a narrow edge. The other pair of wings, compared to the rest of the body, contrasting dark brown in color. The legs are brown. The larvae are very similar to adults, except that they still have poorly developed wings.
