Specimen sizes range from 9 to 13 mm. The body is distinctly black-yellow with yellow legs. The long snout is directed obliquely upwards.

Description

It occurs on forest edges and in open places. It often visits the flowers. The larva develops parasitically in the larvae of various wasps, wild bees and bumblebees.
