Features

Adults reach a length of 8 to 12 mm and have a two-tone pattern with black spots on a red background. Depending on the stage of life, a yellowish or orange base color also appears.

Description

Distributed throughout much of Europe and the eastern Mediterranean and across the southern part of Asia to the Indian subcontinent. It feeds on a variety of plant species and is known primarily as an occasional pest on crucifers such as cabbage, cauliflower and kale.
