The wingspan is from 19 to 22 mm. Front wings very narrow, at the end of the cannon and slightly angularly cut. They are white with a very differently distributed brown drawing. In the male, this drawing is more pronounced than in the female.

Description

Common everywhere in grassy places. The butterfly rests during the day on grass plants upside down and can be frightened. The gray caterpillar lives on grasses in a spiked tube.
