The adult has a wingspan of 27 to 32 mm. It is a rare species. The upper side of the wings is sky blue in males. The peripheral white fringes are with pronounced dark spots. Female brown, several times with a bluish admixture. On the edge of a red spot.

Description

It appears on dry meadows. They have two broods a year. Still common in some places, but very rare in others. The green yellow-spotted caterpillar lives on the horseshoe vetch.
