The long-tailed tit is a small singing bird. The long-tailed tit was named for its very long tail. Their tails are 7-9 cm long, which is longer than the length of the rest of their bodies. In Slovenia, they are a species we can view year round.

Description

They have small, round bodies with small gray beaks. Their crowns are white, over their eyes, they have distinct black eyebrows that run into their black backs. They are gray-brown with black wings and tails, white bellies and tops of their heads. They nest in deciduous forests with developed undergrowth in tree trunks or in bushes.
