Features
Its length is from 11 to 18 mm. Body color brown, front hind rings often yellow or reddish. The front edge of the hind rings densely light brown hairy. At the anterior edge of the apex of the wings is an elongated cell bounded by parallel veins (radial cell) with a rounded apex.

Description
The workers have a pollen collection basket on the shins of the hind legs and on the very wide 1st knuckle of the foot. Queen bee has a very elongated rear end. Males have very large compound (faceted) eyes that meet at the top of the head. It is very common everywhere, and occasionally settles in tree hollows and similar cavities. From the laid egg, the larva develops and hatches in 3 weeks, and after a while a young bee hatches from it. The queen bee can live 4 to 5 years.
