Description

The male also has a bluish-grey head contrasting with the orange-brown back. The bearded reedling lives in thick stands of reed, where it is most often seen in low flight. It also sits on tops of reeds, especially early in the morning and in autumn. It migrates through Slovenia and is a winter guest here.
