The European robin is the only songbird in Slovenia which forms and defends its territory against its peers during wintering. Therefore, we can rarely observe more than one European robin at bird-feeders.

Description
The European robin's upperside is light olive-brown; it has a red orange forehead, face and chest. The European robin's sexes do not differ in their appearance.
It feeds on insects, spiders, small earthworms, small berries and, in winter, on fine minced tallow, millet, crushed nuts and shelled sunflower seeds.
